In celebration of the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County’s decision to share “Love Birds,” an award-winning sculpture by local artist Chicho Lorenzo, the Shops at Stonefield retail center is hosted a community-wide social media event from the Stonefield Green to showcase the art installation. The contest began Thursday, October 1st and extended through the month. Participants are encouraged to take “selfies” near “Love Birds” and post them on Facebook and Instagram with #lovestonefield. Winning entries were selected and prizes were awarded each week through the month.
Over $5,000 in prizes have been donated by a dozen Stonefield merchants, featuring:

- #lovestonefield campaign is a social media promotion organized by The Shops at Stonefield and which will award prizes to winning photo submissions during the month of October 2020.
- The Shops at Stonefield is located at 2100 Hydraulic Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22901
- The #lovestonefield contest is open to everyone.
- To be considered for prizes, all photos must visibly include the LOVEBIRDS installation in the frame.
- Post as many photos as you like but prizes are limited to one per photographer!
- In order for your photo to be entered, you must use the hashtag #lovestonefield and tag the Shops at Stonefield on Facebook or Instagram. Make sure your account is public so we can see your photos!
- All entries must be received by 5 pm Sunday, October 31
- No distasteful photo submissions will be accepted
- Winners will be selected by prize committee and will be contacted on a weekly basis directly via Instagram DM or Facebook Messenger with instructions on how to pick-up their prizes by Nov. 30.
